Mirazvo Productions Multimedia is a Harare based media company that specializes in High Definition Video production, editing, special effects, and graphic design. We have offices and operations in Harare, Zimbabwe, and have done productions across Africa and North America. Founded by brothers Nick and Michael Zemura as a way to create employment through educational entertainment, Mirazvo Productions has become one of the most decorated production companies in Zimbabwe, with over 8 NAMA nominations and 5 wins.
Mirazvo works in a variety of fields, including but not limited to; production of feature movies, documentaries, corporate videos, music videos, personal and private events like weddings, birthday, family heirlooms and personal records. Most notable are Independent Film and Television productions that have won accolades in the various festivals in and around Africa.
Mirazvo has produced content for Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC), DSTV, MNET, and Afrotainment TV, and is reputable for the “script to screen” approach at a world-class level of production. Mirazvo has writers and crew that is second to none, and will help you realize your dream of producing world-class work anywhere your production takes us. It is the sole aim of Mirazvo to create film content that breaks into the regional, as well as international frontier whilst depicting the Zimbabwean story and native culture to the world at large. Mirazvo has produced films like My Lady, which was been nominated for NAMA awards for best Actor, best Actress and best Director. We have produced short films such as Ma1 and Musombodiya, as a means to raise awareness on social issues, and also to showcase our creativity, available talent and to develop our skills .We are currently working on a few projects, which include a film titled Mwana waMwari, and TV series titled Muchaneta and Muzita Rababa. Mirazvo has collaborated with production houses the likes of J.M.Productions (Jessesi Mungoshi: Makunun’unu Maodzamoyo), Shift Media’s Zvanyadza and the Starbrite (2015) edition which is screening on ZBC. Mirazvo has also done music videos for various artists like Jah Prayzah (Daira), Wanai (Ndayarutsa), Rasta Caleb (Varamba Marasta), Sir Calaz (Ndinochema) which scooped the best music video award for the Zimdancehall awards 2014, Nutty O (Hello) which has gained a lot of international airplay and several others.
Mirazvo has done documentaries and corporate pieces for United Nations, WHO organization, IFAD, and done work for Phelps Stokes, Mercedes Benz New York Fashion show, Humanities council to name just a few. Countries like Benin, Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Zimbabwe and the United States have used our services. Some of Our Achievements
Nick Zemura, a filmmaker, nurtured his passion for storytelling from a young age. While a student at Gumbanjera Primary School in Murehwa, he began writing and performing, continuing this throughout college and even pursuing a Master’s Degree. The film industry was his ultimate goal, and in the 1990s, he actively sought opportunities by networking with anyone involved in film, television, theater, or performance. However, he found the industry insular and difficult to break into. He later found a place with Murehwa theatre works, but his true dream remained unfulfilled until he continued his education. Though his family supported his artistic pursuits, they also encouraged a practical backup plan, making acting, writing, and filmmaking a cherished but secondary passion.
